Bride

I met Chris online. Almost didn't meet him because I was so done with dating. I even tried to back out of our first date. He convinced me to come by stating the obvious. Worst case scenerio: we both show up and don't hit it off at least I would get a free meal out of it. I was not at my best. I weighed more than I ever had in my entire life and would be coming to meet him straight from work. No real time to glam it up. I pretty much figured if he didn't like me at my worst it was doomed for failure anyway. I was looking at my phone waiting for him at the restaurant when I heard a rich melodious voice say "Well hello! ". I looked up at a handsome face with a big goofy grin smiling down at me with a sparkle in his eyes and immediatly thought "Well this could be interesting". An hour and a half later he stole a kiss and then asked me if I would like to see his etchings... it was such a horrible line I laughed... and I went! (Really we did keep it respectable that night! I swear!). Needless to say I got more than a free meal and his etchings now grace the wall of our home. I have never been happier or more settled in a relationship. I don't believe in love at first sight but I do believe I am marrying someone who helps me to see the best version of myself. He is my one and only true love and the pootie poots who makes my heart skip a beat... every single day!

Groom

Cheryl summed up our meeting quite succinctly. I had been married to my job in the film industry for so long, I figured I'd die a bachelor. Besides, who'd want a grizzled old dog like me?  But now, I'd been out of the business for a few years and actually had the time to date, so I figured I'd try this on-line dating thing. Thank goodness I tried a free website, because Cheryl was the first and only date I ever got. It only takes one. No one makes me laugh harder than Cheryl, and no one gets my weird sense of humor any better. She puts up with my musical peccadilloes and abides (grudgingly) with my love of football and auto racing. And she loves to read as much as I do! A good day for us is a visit to the Simi Valley Library used book store and coming home with a box of books to devour. What else can I say? Love you, honey!
