Adam and Jen met on Match.com in November 2008, and had their first date at Tea Lounge in Park Slope. Jen chose the location specifically because it seemed like a civilized setting for a grown-up first date. She still claims to have forgotten they serve alcohol there.

One year later, Adam proposed at Tea Lounge after an anniversary celebration involving ice skating, a carriage ride, a Broadway play, and a nearly silent anxiety attack as Jen tried to figure out if today was Proposal Day or not. She accepted by saying, "IT'S THE ONE I WANTED," which is understandable, because the ring is very pretty. (She'll show you if you ask, or even if you don't.)

Jen would like to point out that this means that every good thing in her adult life has now officially come to her via the internets.
