Who would've thought after all of these years, Barret and I were only a phone call away from each other?! My best friend of 20+ years Lorna, was married to Joey, one of his best friends of 20+ years. Barret and I had seen each other at friends' parties over the years but had never spoken or introduced ourselves. But one random day in 2012 our two best friends decided to try and "introduce" the two of us formally and get us to go on a date. It's still up for debate as to which of the two of them, Joey or Lorna, is responsible for us getting together, lol.

Needless to say, after our first date at Pear Street Bistro on July 6, 2012, we never looked back. Our families met in the weeks to come and that was even more of a confirmation for the two of us that we were meant to be together.

November 2, 2013 was the day that Barret got down on one knee and proposed to me...making all my dreams as a little girl finally come true. I knew that it was meant to be when he proposed to me in our living room that night while I was in my granny flannel pj's with no make-up on, all congested from being sick, with our pup Lucca at our feet. It was special. It was perfect.

Finding the perfect location to celebrate our big day was definitely not an easy task. We both liked the idea of having a vineyard style wedding and wished we would be able to have it in Napa...one of our most favorite places. After we realized we'd probably have to sell our house in order to afford a Napa Valley wedding, the search continued. A co-worker heard the type of wedding venue we were looking for and mentioned to me that her daughter had gotten married at Taber Ranch and that it was beautiful.

As soon as I got home I goolged Taber Ranch and saw the pictures and I was in LOVE! I knew this would be an amazing place for us to exchange vows and celebrate afterwards. Barret loved it too. We got our parents together and set up a visit and were blown away with the beauty of Taber Ranch and Vineyards. A 400 acre working farm/ranch filled with almond orchards, lavendar fields, a beautiful old barn set amongst the vineyards, and "Wedding Hill" that overlooked the entire valley with the lake and koi pond on either side. It was magical and serene. We can't wait to share this special place with all of you! A special THANK YOU goes out to my parents and Barret's parents for making this dream wedding of ours come true! We wouldn't have been able to do this with out them!!

After we say our "I Do's" at the top of Wedding Hill, we will make our way down to the garden and lawn area that is set amongst the vineyards. We will have cocktail hour in front of the barn and in the garden area and afterwards will enjoy an amazing meal outside on the lawn (weather permitting). There will be a photo-booth for our guests to have fun with and be able to take home pictures...the more silly the better! The DJ will be set up in the barn as we dance the rest of the night away and make memories that will last us a life time!

Barret and I had fun trying to decide where we would want to go on our honeymoon. I am SO excited to go on this trip with Barret since he has NEVER been out of the country! After much searching we decided to spend 8 wonderful days at the Secrets St. James Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica! After all the excitement of planning the wedding, the craziness of our work schedules, and Barret finishing up Paramedic school...we can't wait!! It will be the vacation of a lifetime and a wonderful way to start our lives together.

We want to thank each and every person in our wedding party for helping make this wedding even more special. Each person we chose to be in the wedding party means the world to us!! We are honored to have you all stand up with us as we exchange our wedding vows.

The Bridal Party:

Maitron of Honor, Lorna Abitia: I have always known that if I ever got married, my maid of honor would be my best friend Lorna. We have been friends now for over 20 years and I can't imagine anyone else standing in this spot. Lorna ahs been like a sister to me and her family is like my second family. She knows me better than any other person and we have shared SO many great memories! Thank you Lor for always being there for me no matter what. Nothing means more to me than having you, Joey, and Gio be a part of our big day! Love you!

Bridesmaids: Consuelo Elias, Jeni Schnurr, Rhonda Erskine, and Kristi Hendrickson. Each one of these women has really touched my life in a special way. My cousin Consuelo has been a HUGE role model in my life and in my career. She is a big reason that I pushed myself so hard in school to become a nurse. Thank you Consuelo for always supporting me and being there for me!

Becoming a nurse and then transferring into the Pediatric ICU pretty much as a new-grad was an exciting and scary thing. Jeni and Rhonda are two very special women who have helped teach me and guide me through the crazy world of the PICU the past 6 years. All of the nurses I work with are amazing and we are all definitely a little family, but Jeni and Rhonda are two women that I admire, look up to, and aspire to be like both in my career and personal life. Thank you both for being my sanity at work, and for supporting Barret and I!

I always wanted a sister when I was little and now I will have one! After marrying Barret I can officially call his sister Kristi, my sister Kristi. Thank you so much for accepting me into your family and your life with open arms. You are an incredibly smart, beautiful, funny, and amazing woman and I am honored that you are one of my bridesmaids!

Flowergirl: I think Barret and I officially have the cutest flowergirl out there! Before we even got engaged Barret and I knew that Ms. Lyla Doolittle would be our flowergirl! Thank you to her beautiful mom Jaime for helping to make this happen. I am honored to be a part of the Doolittle/Clifford family and Barret and I thank you all for your love and support!

For Out of Town Guests (or those that just don't want to drive home after the wedding)

From what we have been told, Cache Creek Hotel and Casino is completely sold out Saturday and Sunday Night...not even the bride and groom were lucky enough to get a room there! So we have reserved a block of rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott in Vacaville. Some of the wedding party will be staying there and any of our guests that need accomodations are welcomed to stay there too! This hotel is about a 25-30 minute drive away from Taber Ranch and located by the Vacaville Outlet Stores. There is lots of shopping and tons of restaraunts around the hotel. We have secured a special rate of $109 (+tax) per night. When booking your room just mention you are part of the Coronado/Hendrickson Party. There are some smaller B&B's closer to Taber Ranch such as the Capay Valley Bed and Breakfast, but no special rates are available and you must check to see if there is still room available.
