We knew we were good to go as a couple when we took a month long trip together to Europe 6 months after we started dating, traveling through Europe with someone you just met, and having no real issues is a true sign that we had something special!! So fast forward 5 years, and here we are, getting married with another trip to Europe on the horizon!!! This time will be a quick trip, only 11 days, but 11 days of experiencing the best of the best. We arrive in Paris early tuesday morning, best time, right when the boulangeries open their doors, croissants, cafe au lait, etc..........then pick up our car, off to Champagne!! We rented an old hunting lodge in Avize, Lunch at Le Berceaux, Dinner at Les Crayeres on Wednesday night. Between these meal peiods you can find us in the caves at J. Lasalle, Fourny and Boizel tasting champagne!! Then off to the town of Amboise for 5 nights in the Loire Valley, "If France Were a King, The Loire Would Be His Queen".......Relaxing is on the agenda, becoming part of this town situated on the Loire River, eating the local fare of charcuterie, river eels, drinking white wines of distinction!! Last two nights will be in Paris, Dinner at L'ami Jean, Helene Darozze, wandering through the flea markets, late lunch at Le Comptoir.............. If anyone has some places that you recommend, please let us know, we would love for you to share with us!!!

Love,

Us

Here we are, pondering our last minute ideas, thoughts and details about our day. A day to celebrate not only what is to come, but what has always been, and will continue to grow. Today is a day that Emily has been waiting for all summer.....the day she can see the 10 day weather forecast, looks like a perfect wedding day, 77 degrees and sunny!!!!! We have such a beautiful day planned full of love, life, our families and dearest friends. If you have ever been to our house for dinner or one of our parties, We are sure you can imagine how this party will be 10 fold in comparison, oh yes friends, grower and vintage champagne, oyster bar, live music, whole roasted farm animals, cheeses, breads, cake, foie gras over the campfire with sauternes, and most important once again, friends and family. Please check back with us often here, as we will be updating this blog daily until the wedding as well as our travels through France!!!

Au revoir nos amis

Emily and Paul
