Bride

If you ask us how we met I'd say sometime in 2009, but really we just knew of each other.  We met mutually through a friend and he eventually became a patient of mine.  Yes, I helped create his awesome smile. Of course, like the other girls I worked with, thought he was the "the good looking" patient, but really didn't think anything more of him.

It wasn't until two close friends set us up together on a double date to a work event in 2014 that we hit it off.  After us both realizing we had a lot in common, him asking why we hadn't gotten together sooner, me squatting in a bush on our first mountain biking excursion and my famous pea soup we knew we were meant for each other.  If you ask us who kissed one another first, we both deny it!

What started as a friendship, eventually grew into something more. The more I got to know Dawn, the more I realized how much we had in common. She enjoyed the outdoors and being active as much as sleeping in late and just relaxing at home. I have never met a woman I could go mountain biking and golfing with, and she could hold her own too. It was easy for me to be attracted to her right from the start.

She had a beautiful daughter, Kayla, who was just as easy to love. Kayla and I hit it off almost immediately. Her personality and smile was just as intoxicating as her mother’s. I felt blessed to have both of them in my life.

Unfortunately, soon after our relationship developed, the Navy relocated me to Augusta, Georgia for a one year deployment. Although we understood it would be difficult, we decided to continue our relationship from a distance. During this time away, I recognized that this is the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. We communicated at least twice a week while I was away, which I always looked forward to. She sent me homemade cookies, brownies, and other goodies. We planned trips to see each other as much as we could.
