Welcome

I remember like it was just yesterday. It was a normal day at work when I noticed Dan standing two people in front of me in the security line at Chicago O’Hare airport.  Other than how cute I thought he was I knew nothing else about him.  Once my crew and I passed security I looked around and he was nowhere in sight.  We were almost done boarding when a huge smile appeared on my face because there he was boarding our flight down to Fort Myers, FL.  I remember saying out loud, “Wow, what are the chances of that?”  During the flight we never said anything to each other but we kept exchanging glances back and forth the whole time.  He knew I was busy and did not want to be that guy who would bother a flight attendant while she was working and, well, I was just too shy to start a conversation.  When we landed Dan went to the flight deck to talk with the pilots and this is when I realized he was one of our pilots. “Ohh nooo!” I thought to myself.  Anyone who knows me knew that my number one rule was to never date a pilot.  Well I guess I broke that one!  As exciting as that flight was I soon found out that all the new hire pilots were being furloughed soon so I knew I might never see him again.

After that first meeting about three months went by when I received a phone call from my friend Heidi (Maid of Honor). She told me that a Daniel Willard was the First Officer on the Orlando flight that night and I should switch my flight to be on it.  As quickly as I could hang up I traded into the flight so I could fly with him once again.  We didn’t get to see each other until we landed in Orlando where we finally introduced ourselves. This time he was wearing a uniform and his glasses so I almost thought this wasn’t the same guy. But after talking for just a few minutes he already had me laughing. After the flight back to Chicago, the crew and I were planning to go out.  I wanted Dan to come with us but I couldn’t work up the nerve to ask him. So instead I asked my crew to ask him for me and he happily agreed. That night we talked, danced and had such a great time we didn’t want to say good night.  Well little did we know that night was the beginning of our wonderful love story.

Please join us and celebrate our new lives as Mr. and Mrs. Willard.  We will be getting married at Dreams Resort & Spa in Cancun, Mexico on 11/04/2011. Our wedding ceremony will take place at their magnificent seaside gazebo and will begin promptly at 4:30 pm. Cocktails, dinner and dancing to follow.

As many of you know Dan has taken an excellent job in Dubai and has been living there for over a year now and I will be joining him soon after the wedding. After going back and forth on the decisions to register the traditional way we decided it just was not an easy option for us. We thought registering for a honeymoon would be the more convenient and most appreciated way for us. After being apart most of the year there is nothing more exciting to look forward to than a romantic honeymoon for us to enjoy.  If you'd like to go to the registry please click on "Our Registry" above.

To our amazing family and friends, we are so grateful to have you all in our lives. For those of you who will not be able to share our special day with us, we will keep you in our hearts! We love you and want to thank you all for everything you have done for us! We both are truly blessed for each and every one of you. Thank you for visiting our wedding website and our honeymoon registry. We hope to see you all in Cancun!
