The proposal was great! We were in our favorite place St Augustine that we love the most. It was chilly out and we had been walking around the whole day as we always do.  We were waiting to go see the lights to be turned on for the whole downtown area-- that's when it all happened! Hunter on one knee, my favorite time of year, my favorite place and my favorite-- The lights! It just could not have been better. I have waited for this special day for over 16 years and now here we are.

I had the ring made and was doing my damnest to figure out where the best place to ask her would be.  I wanted it to be special and also to be in a place special to both of us. 

We took a weekend to go to St Augustine (like we love to do when the opportunity allows for it) whereby I preceded to ask a few locals where the best place might be to ask for Lisa's hand in marrage.  Little did I know that it was the weekend of the lighting of the tree in the square for Christmas.

Right as the tree (and the whole block) was lit up I turned her around and got on one knee.  The crowd around us instantly backed up a full 10 feet in a circle like I was going to light a bomb off...

I said, "Lisa you light up my life like the lights being lit around us now, will you marry me?"

She just stood there starting to cry until a Lady behind us finally said, "well what are you going to say!?"

She said "yes".
